Welcome to PRSA Puget Sound—Leaders in Strategic Public Relations
The Puget Sound Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) is based in Seattle and serves public relations professionals in Western Washington. As one of the largest PRSA chapters in the country, we offer our members a vast network of friendly, knowledgeable practitioners and a wealth of professional development opportunities.
Our membership consists of professionals in all areas of public relations including business and industry, counseling agencies, nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, trade associations, government agencies, independent counselors and more. One-quarter of our members have earned national APR accreditation--well over the national average. Top-notch programming and extensive membership offerings have twice earned our chapter the prestigious PRSA National "Banner Award" for chapter excellence. Our chapter's mission is to make public relations an indispensable component to the publics we serve. Our objectives are:
- To advance the profession of public relations in the public interest;
- To encourage the exchange of ideas, research, discussion, and study of the problems and techniques of the public relations profession;
- To strengthen and maintain the highest standards of service and ethical conduct by all members of the profession; and
- To promote fraternalism and diversity within the profession.
